Overview
You can access files which are saved to the school server from
any computer that has a web browser and internet access.
If you are using a Macintosh computer, it is recommended that you
use the Netscape 6 (or higher) browser. If you are using a Windows
computer, it is recommended that you use the Internet Explorer 5
(or higher) browser.
After logging in you can begin using the My Files web pages to
download files from school, rename files, delete files, create new
folders, and even hand in assignments.
To get your files from the server:
1. Click on the folders on the right hand side to open the H: or
I: drives.
2. Open folders and browse for your files.
3. When you find a file that you want to download, you should select
it and from the File menu select File > Download.
4. Choose the destination for where you want the file to be saved
(eg. My Documents).
To save your files to the server:
1. On the right hand side of the screen, click on the folder that
you want to save to (your personal H: drive, or the handin folder
for your class).
2. From the File menu, select File > Upload.
3. Using the file browser, select the file that you want to save
to the server.
You may find that you have to log in again if you have not clicked
on anything for a few moments. Always remember to log out when you
are finished (select File > Logout) and close the browser before
you leave the computer.
