The school library is an active learning centre which plays an
integral part in the total school programme. In partnership with
the Administration and the classroom teachers, the library staff
work to foster the development of the student's information literacy
skills as well as a love of reading. We endeavour to encourage students
to realize their potential, and become life-long learners.

The Summoning
(Darkest Powers Series #1)
by Kelly Armstrong
This novel, the first
in a trilogy, is an Urban fantasy. There are
no vampires but plenty of werewolves, shamans, half-demons,
and necromancers looking to make their way in the world. One
of these 'para-normal' people is Chloe Saunders but she doesn't
realize it yet...
The Awakening, the
second in the series, is an even better read. |
Wondrous Strange
by Lesley Livingston
Wondrous Strange is
a captivating story of love, betrayal, and the real and unreal.
Set against the backdrop of present-day New York City, the
novel weaves together the worlds of theatre and faerie magic
in a way that is sure to please both.
Darklight, the second
novel in the trilogy, gives us more romance and vividly characters |
The Book of
Michael
by Lesley Choyce
The Book of Michael will
have great appeal for young adult readers,
both male and female. Tension and emotion are the cornerstones
of what is a gripping psychological story. The challenging
topics woven within the book seem guaranteed to spark interest
and discussion among readers.
