2018 - 2019 Budget

School districts operate on a fiscal year that runs from 01 September to 31 August. The District’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year must be approved by the Board before the end of June of the current year. To meet this timeline, a staff-recommended budget will be presented to Committee of the Whole Budget (COW Budget) on 14 May 2018 and several meetings are scheduled to obtain comment from the public, to provide the Board with an opportunity to establish the District’s priorities and to refine the allocation of resources. 14 May 2018       - Presentation of the staff-recommended budget

30 May 2018       - Public delegations and committee questions

04 June 2018      - Budget debate commences

11 June 2018      - Budget debate (if required)

25 June 2018      - Budget debate (if required) and recommendation to Board


Staff anticipates the 2018-2019 Budget will be approved at the Board meeting of 25 June 2018.
